This site is a current work in progress.  The goal is to provide a general hub for connecting with family, friends and business associates in the near future.  I am currently working on this as a part-time hobby outside my normal business day. 

 

     A little bit about myself.  I have served in the Navy for the majority of my life.  Since 1989 to the present day, I have been associated with the Navy.  I am currently an officer in the United States Navy, with my active duty dates from 1989 to 2007.  Now I serve in the Navy Reserves.  I enlisted as a sailor and worked my way up through the ranks, attending the United States Naval Academy and eventually trained to be a Naval Aviator.  My experiences and knowledge have ranged from project planning, nuclear power plant operations, budgeting and analysis. 

 

 

     Since I left active duty in 2007, my time has been spent working with a government contractor in Alexandria, VA.  This has been a interesting experience working with DoD Acquistions and processes.  I do suffer the hour commute to work on a daily basis.  For this reason, I have joined the ranks of the early morning D.C. commuters, all in hopes to avoid long traffic delays.  

 

     On the Naval Reserve side of the house, I work in a unit that supports the Navy in its Information Technology sector.  This has been a great tour and so far, I have been fortunate enough to avoid any mobilization to Iraq or Afghanistan since I have been of full active duty.  If my times come, I will do my duty and serve my country, as I have for the past 20 years. 

 

     Please feel free to roam my site.  I have a few interesting items here.  I have been doing some work with Prepaid Legal.  This is a company that provides legal protection to its members.  Basically, Prepaid Legal does for legal services as Health Insurance does for medical services.  A small monthly fee, less that a the cost of a cup of coffee a day and I am not talking those fancy Starbucks' lattes or cappuccinos either, will provide affordable legal options and protections.  Check out the information and the different presentations.  I use it all the time.  To date, I have saved over $9,000 from knowing my legal rights.  If I had started this membership 6 months earlier than I did, I would have saved an additional $7,500 in lawyer fees.
